I'm using a PHP news/members script for a website that I run. The script is totally depended on MySQL (news, members, etc...theres no flat file). Would this cause an uproar in the server load if the members database became too large? I'm talking about hundreds to thousands of members..etc.
I'm on a shared hosting plan for this website. And the members list is growing day by day, if the server load will go sky high because of this, could it be helped if I moved the mysql database to a remote host or something?
