PSU Size - Degraded 3Ware Array

I've got a new box that I'm building out and seeing a strange issue. All new hardware, no data so reloads etc are fine. The basic spec is

AMD 4400+
3Ware 8006-2
350W PSU orignall now 400W PSU
3Com Network Card
2x200GB WD SATA 7200 RPM disks in RAID-1
2GB Ram

The issue I'm seeing is that on bootup, and randomly whilst running the array will just drop a disk now doing some reading I think it might be a lack of power. Now I've upgraded the PSU to 400W (as its one I had spare) but do people still think that prehaps its not enough and I might need to push it further or should I be looking at something else?
