VPS traffic shaping
What scenario would you recommend for traffic shaping of VPSs?
Particulary I am thinking of XEN based VPS.
1) do traffic shaping on router/switch infront of the VPS server host?
2) do traffic shaping directly on VPS server host inside host operation system.
3) leave the bandwitdth management on XEN system so any guest VPS can
burst up to host system bandwidth.
Sometime people are saying that you can influence only stream. I would like to shape both upstream and downstream to each VPS instance. Whats your opinion?
