Major Hard Drive Problem Please Help!

I'm uber newb so I'm going to need some help Major Hard Drive Problem Please Help! . I recieved this email from cPanel

S.M.A.R.T Errors on /dev/hda
From Command: /usr/sbin/smartctl -q errorsonly -H -l selftest -l error /dev/hda
ATA Error Count: 16 (device log contains only the most recent five errors)
Error 16 occurred at disk power-on lifetime: 499 hours (20 days + 19 hours)
----END /dev/hda--

Therefore, I bought a new HD to backup what's on this old HD. Problem is when my OS and cPanel was installed, my 2 HDs hda and hdb was "merged" into one drive. If you don't know what I'm talking about for example when I type "hd -f" I see that both HDs are a single entity. I see this "/dev/mapper/VolGroup01-LogVol00 372G 318G 36G 90% /" Both my HDs are 200 GB HDs. The new HD that I bought is 300 GB and there's no way it can take all 318 GB of data. Since both HDs are installed as a single entity, I don't even know what's on hda or what's on hdb, so even if I want to backup only hda stuff, I wouldn't know which files belong to which drives. hdb is perfectly fine, but once I replace hda I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a OS reinstall and cPanel reinstall, so I will lose everything in hdb. Is there a way to copy what's on hda to my new HD and mount my new HD as hda to replace hda as if nothing had gone wrong?

Thanks for reading my post. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.
