PHP sendmail and security issues
I installed a paypal script which needs to use php send mail or whatever it is called. My host has it turned off because they said it can be exploited. This is what they say:
"It gives them full root access to everything in your cpanel.This is the patch that we have applied and you are having us remove it."
Now I see a lot of other people using this script, and PHP mailing, and I don't see anyone complaining or worried about that.
What should I do? Should I be worried? Or should I allow the host to remove the patch and allow the PHP mailing? Also there is a forum for the script and I don't hear anyone saying anything about it either... but my host makes it sound like it's a huge security risk, so I don't know.
