mysql files help
My server: Redhat enterprise linux P4 with Cpanel
In my var/lib/mysql directory there are over 1,500 files with the format:
myservername-bin.1234 where 1234 is the numbers starting at 001 and going up to over 1500.
The dates of the files are from 2 years ago up through today.
Does anyone know what these files are and how they get there? I am thinking they may be tmp files, but I want to know for sure before I do anything with them.
