Search for old/insecure scripts?

We've had a few spammers hit us because users were still running SEVEN YEAR OLD CGI SCRIPTS. When I saw 1999 in the file I almost flipped.

Does anyone know of a search tool (preferrably for Linux) that will look for old or insecure scripts? Waiting for attacks isn't very good, and searching by hand is a real pain.
