DYNDNS.com closed out account

We host about a half million free and paid accounts. Today DYNDNS.com close our account for "AUP violation", which is gradually blocking all of our users from reaching our systems.

I've contacted their support/abuse email, with no response yet.

I called their tech support, who said that there's nothign they can do, I'll have to work with the support staff by email.

The complaint forwarded to them, and us, was a MySpace.com phishing site. We've already terminated the account.

We handle any abuse reports like that immediately, usually within minutes.

We even have scanning scripts actively checking content for various scams, phishing, spammer redirects, etc. I've even been working with the fine lady at "Spamhuntress.com" on different ways to block/filter/detect this type of content, and she's listed our services in her wiki as being "unfriendly" to spammers and phishers.

We're a premium customer of DynDNS. DynDNS told me that they don't notify customers of violations ahead of time - they just close the account. I find that to be very bad way of dealing with any type of violations.

These guys clearly aren't "host" friendly DNS providers - the tech support guy explained that if one of our customers is violation their AUP, then we, by proxy, are violation the AUP. I understand that, in a way, but this type of action is uncalled for.

I've read of the event at GoDaddy - which IMO was handled badly by them. At least in that case they were given chance to resolve the problem before terminating their DNS account.

This is an awful situation, and its being handled very badly. As soon as we get back online I'm going to be looking for another DNS hosting solution - the year's worth of DNS service I'd paid up front, for 6 domains, will just go to waste, but this sort of action can be fatal to our company if its not resolve very, very quickly.
