Wordpress problem: Dashboard broken and post.php hangs
Since a few weeks I am having a problem with three different Wordpress blogs hosted at my shared server account with Gatorhost. The Wordpress Dashboard is broken (sometimes it only shows the 'Dashboard' and 'Last Activity' titles, but right now it doesn't load at all), and when I publish a post with a link in it then post.php will hang on a white page, although the article does publish. Having the 'Update Services' option switched on will also make post.php hang.
On two of the blogs that have this I have no plug-ins installed, and no modifications. One is version 2.0 and the other is 2.0.2.
I have had contact with my host for the last two weeks, but they cannot find anything out of the ordinary. However, when they reboot the Apache server the problems are resolved, but only for a couple of hours -- then the problems return.
Does anyone know what is causing this? I think that it has something to do with the server not allowing the application to ping external sites?
(I've already tried posting my problem twice at the Wordpress.org forum, but without results)
