Manually restore 20 email accounts??
We have just moved over a hosting account that has 20 email addresses, put the new website on a new VPS server.
The problem is that when i did the backup on cpanel, the email messages didn't come over. It looks like the accounts and logins came over fine though.
I have unzipped the backup file and looked in the mail folder, all the accounts are there.
I have also gone in via ftp and grabbed the mail folder to compare that with the backup. All the files seem to be the same size in the cpanel backup and from ftp.
The next problem is that it has been one day that the users have been using the new system.
Is there a way to merge the old and new mail? how about create a folder and put all their old stuff in there for them?
Do I have the files from the right place or are they held in a database or something? the files I have seem to be very small. too small in fact.
