Server Stopping IP Traffic

HI,

I have a small business running a website.

I have 1 desktop PC running a webserver, mailserver, ftp server and db with a firewall. It's ran fine for about 3 years, but in the last few weeks nearly everyday it seems to hang.

I can see incoming requests - my firewall shows this, but the server doesn't respond. Also all outgoing internet connections are blocked - clients can't access the mailserver, and my RealVNC disconnects so I physically have to get someone into the office to restart the box. It's as if all listening IP sockets are blocked. Tried turning off the firewall but makes no difference, and restarting the webserver, but again, its only restarting the box that does it.

Spec is:
Windows XP Home 1G RAM AMD Athlon 2000+
Tomcat 5.016 (used as the only webserver - 99% of pages are dynamic)
Jave 1.4.2
Oracle 9.2
MDaemon 7.2
Serv-U FTP 6.1

Checked webserver logs - no evidence of problems, checked the XP logs - cannot find anything odd.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Iain
