OS choice
I would like to colocate my server in a few weeks, but i'm not sure which OS to install.I'm doubting between FreeBSD, sentOS, and SUSE. The server must be very stable, because it will have a high db (mysql) load. The control panel will be directadmin.
I want an OS which takes the most of my hardware, i didn't buy a dual core opteron for nothing!
My server specs:
- AMD opteron 270 (dual core, 64-bit)
- Tyan thunder s2892 (k8SE)
* Nforce 2200 pro
http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8se_spec.html
- LSI-LOGIC megaraid 320-2x (u320, dual channel)
http://www.lsilogic.com/products/meg....html#features
- 2 X 1 GB DDR400, PC3200 kingston
- 6 X 18.2 GB, 15K U160 scsi disks from HP. (2 disks in raid 0+1 for the OS, and 4 disks in raid 5 for the data.)
Which OS do you think i should choose? Is it important to choose an OS which is supported by Tyan and LSI logic?
Tyan supports the following OS:

Microsoft Windows 2000
Microsoft Windows XP
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
