how could i compile kernel 2.6.15 with smp??
I would like to ask you a small question, also i think some others have the same question as mine.
Since i'm having high server load issue because of kernel 2.6.9-22.ELsmp and many others people have the same problem with that kernel, too.

I decided to upgrade to kernel 2.6.15.7 according to this quick totorial:

But the kernel I compiled was just 2.6.15.7 without the smp. So inparticular, i want the kernel compiled like 2.6.15.7.smp. How could i do that?
Followed the tut above, i dont see any smp selection while compiling the kernel!!??
My server is Dual Core Opteron 170
and the OS is RHEL 4.
