I got a good deal on two proliant 1850s (basically free). I downloaded the smart start cd v5.5 and got one setup the way i wanted it. 3 9gb drives set in raid 1+0, diabled onboard nic, using a compaq gigabit nic, installed centos 4.2, and ran through all the updates and getting set just how i wanted. But now everytime I reboot the damn thing, I lose my settings. CMOS battery? It appears to be spot welded to a bracket coming off of the motherboard. So how the hell do I change it??? Or am I not supposed to? Or is that not my problems?
Have zero experience with these, until this morning. So does anyone with some real exp with these have some ideas to pass along? Would appreciate it.
