Problem after Upgrade Mysql

Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue and really need your advice and guide.

I just updated Mysql to the lastest version: 4.1.18 and Php to 4.4.2

But i got this error when trying to access my forum:
"Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client"

It's weird that when i tried this command:

#rpm -qa | grep mysql
mysqlclient10-3.23.58-4.RHEL4.1
libdbi-dbd-mysql-0.6.5-10.RHEL4.1
It seems like the mysqlclient is not the same version as Mysqlserver. But then i downloaded and tried to install the new Mysqlclient. It said already installed.

So have any of you experience this issue or know how to fix this.
