Ming 0.3 Final

Has anybody manually updated ming to the latest (final) version? Cpanel is still back on 0.3Beta 1 and it is missing some functions needed by one of my customers.

I would like to uninstall the compiled in version that comes with cpanel and just install as a php extension. Should this work, or do you know of a problem with this idea?

Any comments or suggestions?
