Please help : alot of services down in my server always

Hello

I have server IntelDual Xeon ( HTT )
4GB Ram

and i have more than 420 site in the server.
server is run good ... but when it try to take the back up for all sites in server .. some services stop such mysql and apache .
i ask if there are some configrations to solve thise problem
