Have you Ever Seen This Happen?
Have you guys ever seen anything like this happen. Have any idea how to fix it, or do I have to rely on my host?Today we created a few backups for one of our sites. The most recent backup was 602 MB. And the disk space usage went up to: 2232 mb (this morning we were at 1560 mb)
But after I deleted the file and checked our usage, it still said that we were at 2232. So, something is wrong. It is still counting us as using space even after we deleted the backup.
This made me suspicious, so I went to another of our sites. The usage was at 433 MB. I deleted a 122 MB file. Then when I checked my usage, it still said that I was using 433 MB.
I also tested it on several other sites that we host with our reseller account. The same thing happened EVERY TIME.
The bottom line is that it looks like my host is over charging me for quota use - no wonder I had to keep buying a bigger plan every couple of weeks this past two months!
Even after I delete a file it keeps the old, higher amount of usage in it's record. This is a HUGE problem, as I am already on plan 5, and I am nearly out of disk space again. And every time I add a file, even after I delete it I'm 'charged' for the disk space
Any idea how to fix? Ever seen this happen before?
