Did you know MSN e-mail addresses can be faked?

I just found out recently that when someone creates an MSN Messenger account, the server does NOT verify that they can read e-mail sent to the e-mail address they enter.

So for example, I could make an MSN account called pmak@google.com, and then you could talk to me on MSN, and you'd think I work for google.com based on the address, when it's really fake!

Crappy security... moral: Don't trust that an MSN e-mail address is who it claims to be, unless you've been told that e-mail address from a trusted source.
