Redhat Network subscription
I've got a dedicated server running CPanel on RedHat 9 i686. The server's got a P IV 2.8GHz with hyperthreading. My kernel is currently not smp, so i thought of upgrading it via rpm & up2date. I got the RH network subscription screen, so I subscribed. After that I received an e-mail stating that this product is not being supported anymore. (End of life). I can "upgrade" to a 2.4.20 kernel version, but is it worth it?
What should I do? I'd like to automate the software installs and stay as secure as possible.. Is it possible to upgrade the OS, or some way to upgrade the system anyway? Perhaps also worth mentioning: I'm a liquidweb customer.
