RPM newbie needs help.

I am trying to upgrade to the newest version of Imagemagick on my linux server.
Here is my server conf:
WHM 10.8.0 cPanel 10.8.1-S114
RedHat Enterprise 3 i686 - WHM X v3.1.0

When I click on the "Install a RPM" from the WHM I can see that Imagemagick is already installed. I tried rebuilding the RPM database from WHM but it did not help.

When I SSH to the server I can check the current version of Imagemagick by typing "convert -version". This is the response
"Version: ImageMagick 5.5.6 04/01/03 Q16 www .imagemagick. org
Copyright: Copyright 2003 ImageMagick Studio LLC"

I want to install the newest version which is ImageMagick-6.2.6
I don't know how to get the new version on to my server to install it.

Is there anyway to use cpanel/whm to do this or do I need to do it throgh the terminal?

I am a SSH newbie so I would need a step by step guide to do anything in SSH.
I do know how to SSH into the server as root.

Thanks for the help.
