Juniper Netscreen Layer 3?
I tried contacting Juniper technical sales, but they have been extremely hard to reach and slow. I hope you guys can help me out.
What I'll have are servers running virtual servers, and would like to create a private management network for the hosts and another network for the guests, and then firewall both. I want to provide each guest with its own subnet. People suggested that I should use a layer 3 switch to provide subnets. However, looking into the Juniper Netscreen products, their datasheets indicate that they can do layer 3.
Do I still need a layer 3 switch "under" a Netscreen if the Netscreen has layer 3 capabilities? Will a layer 2 switch work?
