top does not show the second cpu

I have a very strange problem on a dual opteron 248 server

SO is Fedora Core 4 with 2.6.15-1.1831_F***mp
more /proc/cpuinfo shows up correctly both cpus.

But with 'top' I only can see a single cpu. Any idea?
