Moving an entire cpanel server
Hello everyone,We have been playing around with cPanel to provide some hosting to our customers. We are not a hosting ocmpany, but we do sell some packages that include hosting for small businesses. When we originally set cPanel up, it was on an older server because we still weren't sure what we were going to do with it. The load on that server is now starting to grow ad we need to move it to one of our more production ready servers.
I was wondering if it is possible to migrate everything over (The os is an older kernel, so I need to move just the user accounts, configurations and files) and if the "full" backup in cPanel does this.
Also, I see that cPanel does clustering, but from what i can tell this is only the DNS. Is there any way to cluster a bunch of cpanel servers together to provide load balancing? I run a Redhat Cluster for some of our main sites, but I don't have a whole lot of experience with cPanel. I'm kinda old school and like doing everything command line, but we like the interface for our customers.
Thanks for your help,
Brandon
