LotusNotes Client: Out of TCP/IP Sockets (?!)
Every now and then, my laptop (WinXP Pro) starts having network problems; my browser will tell me "No route to host," even though it's connected fine. LotusNotes (I've never seen it happen without Lotus being up... I think Lotus may be the problem?) will give me an error that my TCP/IP stack ran out of memory:
Insufficient TCP sockets are available. Consult your vendor's TCP/IP documentation to increase the maximum number of sockets.
My first instinct was that it was a virus/worm/spyware, but neither Symantec nor AdAware picks anything up, even in Safe Mode. (I'm obsessive about keeping a clean system.)
The other odd behavior is that the Task Manager will not start. Other apps are iffy--sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
Is this a simple case of running out of RAM (and it always manifesting in a strange way?), or is there something else I need to fix?
