can't receive email
Hello,I'm running a server with Windows Server 2003 Web Edition and I'm running the standard POP3 server that comes with the operating system. I have an email account with a mailbox setup. My problem is I can't seem to send emails to it.
I'm using Outlook to connect to the server, and this seems to be able to download emails fine. I tested this by creating a fake email in my mailbox folder and the connecting with Outlook. It downloaded fine. But when I send an email from elsewhere to my email address, nothing shows up (either in Outlook or directly in my mailbox folder on the server).
I'm sure I have everything set up right. The server is in an office network (so there are LAN IP Addresses and a WAN IP Address - the latter is 68.144.4.236). I have port forwarding set on my router and I verified that the correct LAN IP Address is set for my server. The entries look as follows:
Virtual Server SMTP 192.168.***.*** TCP 25/25
Virtual Server POP3 192.168.***.*** TCP 110/110
(asterices used on purpose)
I verified that the MX record is correct. I registered the domain name with register.com and the MX record shows mail.lexingtonmarketing.ca which is correct. The IP Address associate with that shows 68.144.4.236 which is correct.
Can anyone think of anything else that might prevent my account from receiving emails?
