Searching: A Dial in TA with switchable power outlet
I have the issue that at times the cheaper switches/router crash or stop working.
Where the switch/router is placed, I have a telephone line as option for dialing in.
I have several options:
1) Is obviously to replace the switch.
2) To install A Dial in Terminal adapter (TA) with a switchable power outlet on which the switch/router will operate.
So in case of a problem I could dial in and cycle the power outlet (reboot the switch/router)
That is obvious not the best solution but at least saves the time going there and making the network/device accessable again.
As an additional feature it would also be nice if such a device has a feature that it could reboot f.e by receiving a automated message from a monitoring system (which runs on another outside system) etc.
Does anybody know of such a device ?
Bear in mind that I might have named it wrong. The above mentioned device is just to get the point accross what I want to do. The prober name might be something different.
