Nameserver Issues

I've been running RHEL3 and cPanel/WHM on my own dedicated server for about 6 months now. I've been providing mostly free hosting, and have had Qwest (My ISP) manage all DNS up to this point. I decided recently to go ahead an manage my own DNS so that I can host domains, etc. Now, I pointed my domain name DNS to nmsvr1.mydomain.com and nmsvr2.mydomain.com which point to 2 ip addresses that in turn point to my server. In WHM I have my primary and secondary nameservers set to nmsvr1.mydomain.com and nmsvr2.mydomain.com.

Now, I've had this configuration for about 2 weeks now, and things have been acting a little strange since I made the changes. On some days, the server hostname, subdomains (and sometimes a nmsvr1.mydomain.com) will work. On other days, only mydomain.com and [www].mydomain.com will work.

I contacted my registrar, and they told me that the problem is probably with my server. Everything looks right, but does anyone have any idea what's going on, or know of some troubleshooting procedure that I can go through?

I's really like to get this problem solved. It's been driving me nearly insane not being able to view my clients' sites.
