Linux show SATA HD`s like PATA, why???

Somebody know why LINUX (CentOS) show SATA hard drives like PATA? What can be problem?

Normal when I have SATA hard drives on servers in linux that is sda, sdb, sdc.....but now for me that is hda, hdb, hdc,....

That is not all, that is not problem for me, problem is speed:
/dev/hda:
Timing buffered disk reads: 12 MB in 3.41 seconds = 3.52 MB/sec

/dev/hdc:
Timing buffered disk reads: 12 MB in 3.41 seconds = 3.52 MB/sec

This is maximum what I can get from this sata hard drives, normal I can get over 50MB/s from SAME hard drives!!

Hard drives: WD2000JD
Motherboard: Abit AG8-V
OS: CentOS 3.5

Somebody know how I can fix this problem? Somebody have same problem?

Thanks.
