Forum engines: which to choose and why
I'm in the process of evaluating and selecting a forum engine to use on my site. There are so many scripts to select from so I would like to hear some comments about the WebhostingTalk community.
What engine(s) do you use or recommend and why? What about security, functionality, flexibility etc.? Have you experienced some troubles installing/supporting/using engine selected?
P.S. The disposition is: dedicated FreeBSD 4.4 server fully under my control.
